Hi Jeanne, Just wanted to let you know the trip back with owen went well. He is pretty amazing. He is pretty much trained and sleeps thru the night. He is perfect. He has bonded to me and wants to be with me all the time. He loves to watch tv.  If you ever need to use me for a reference please feel free to do so. Owens temperament is something I have never seen before. He has just enough puppy in him to make him a delight to watch but he doesn't wear me out totataly. He is perfect. Thanks for everything!  Lynn

HI JEANNE, THIS IS LYNN FROM DALLAS TEXAS. WE GOT OWEN LAST SUMMER FROM YOU. HE IS THE MINIATURE POODLE. HE IS AN AMAZING DOG! EXTREMELY SMART AND VERY STRONG. WE REALLY HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH HIM. I SAW THAT YOU WILL BE BREEDING OWENS DAD BLIZZARD TO A SCHNAUZER. WE WILL BE IN IOWA AT THE END OF JULY. WOULD YOU HAVE ANY AVAILABLE? I WANT A FEMALE THIS TIME. I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT OWEN IS SO SMART THAT ALL I HAVE TO DO IS NAME THE ACTION ONCE AND HE CAN DO IT . HE IS ALSO VERY PRETTY. EVERYBODY ALWAYS COMMENTS ON HIS VERY BLACK COAT. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE.

Just a short note to let you know about Owen. He had his first yearly visit to the vet. The vet was so taken by this dog. She said you don"t see Minature Poodles this big. He is 21 pounds. She also said his muscle tone was fantastic. Also his temperament was fabulous. The vet named him the new favorite dog of the clinic! I was wondering if you have any Miniature Poodles. We will be in Iowa the end of July. I still want another one !

We will be happy to give testiomals on Owen and Olivia. They are wonderful dogs!!! I highly recommend getting two dogs. They play all the time together and seem to have their own dog language. Owen is a lot more independant and very tolerent of Olivia who is a year younger. Olivia is more into getting attention. They are the smartest dogs we have ever had. Owen now weighs 24 pounds and is very strong and solid. Olivia is more petite and weighs 16 pounds. They are very healthy. They are very easy to train. I have attached pictures. Thanks Lynn and Alan.

To the right, this is Maci. She lives with Bob and Sheri and their family in Slater, IA.

Sheri wrote:

Hi, Jeanne.  She is doing great!  We named her Maci.  We put her in the wire kennel I was telling you about and put it in our kiitchen where our Newfy is tied up at night, and she has slept every night since we brought her home
WITHOUT whimpering!  She is going potty outside -- but, of course, we have to watch her because she may start to go in the house, but we take her out often AND Shadow (our Newfy) and tell them to go potty, and they both go potty!  She's opening up a little more, but is still a little timid at times -- everything, of course, is new to her -- sounds, things, etc.  I tookl her to the vet yesterday, and he said everything looked good!  He thought we had a nice healthy puppy.  He gave her her Bordatella (sp??) shot, too.  We go back in 3 weeks.  She did great with the vet too.  The kids just love her, and I think she will work out real well with them.  They are helping with her too.

The only time Maci has had an accident in the house was when we didn't realize she had to go out (this was very early on, and I think it's been once or twice).  She just comes and tells us by wagging her tail that she has to go out!  She's got a really good temperment and can be very playful.  Her health is great.  Maci will be 3 yrs old on Feb. 11, 2010.  She minds very well and was and is a very fast learner (but I think poodles are pretty smart!).
Yes, I would be happy to give you a reference.  Are you still breeding with the same parents that are Maci's parents?

To the left, this is Diamond. She lives with Alyssa and her family in Normal, IL.

I am so happy that I found you when I was looking for a new addition to our huge family.  Miniature poodles are perfect, we love our baby so much. She was a gift for my five year old sister who named her Diamond.  She is great with kids and all people and is best friends with our rottweiler.  She is literally perfect in everyway, she is not aggressive and her temperment is perfect. She always sits and observes whats going on.  There are seven kids in our family so at first she was completely overwhelmed. The first few days she sat in a corner and just watched us.  Now she takes turns sleeping with everyone and just the greatest, cutest little thing ever.  She listens so well and was very easy to train. She was completely potty trained by six months.  Now that she is one year old, a leash is not even needed to have her out of the fenced yard.  She will even drop a piece of steak from her mouth by me simply saying drop it.  This is the most perfect addition we could of asked for and when we would like to get another one, we are definately coming back to you.  Thank you so much for our little baby!!

To the right, this is Oreo. She lives with Jeff and Julie and their family in Ankeny, IA.

Julie wrote:

We named our dog Oreo.  She has been a wonderful addition to our family!  We couldn't possibly have hoped for a better dog!

Oreo loves people and gets along very well with other dogs.  She is sweet, cuddly, and playful.  She loves to sit in a lap as soon as we sit down to watch television.  She was fairly easy to potty-train and started sleeping in our girls' beds at night when she was 9 months old.  We have her in her kennel in the house when we are gone but trust her to be in their beds at night.  Oreo is quiet and content to be anywhere "her people" are.   She is very loyal and endlessly patient with our kids who are 12,10, 9 and 5.  Even though we live in a neighborhood of barking dogs, the only time she really barks is when a stranger comes into our house.  She goes to Doggy Daycare one day a week and has a great time playing with all of her dog friends.  She is a favorite of the workers there.  Even though they have a special "little dog" room, they usually have her with the big dogs because she gets along so well with them and seems to think she is "a big dog".

Oreo has been very healthy.  She has only needed something other than routine well-puppy visits and vaccinations one time when she decided to leap from a place that she shouldn't have been jumping from and had a sore paw for a few days.  A couple days of anti-inflammatory medicine and she was as good as new. She goes to her groomer for haircuts every seven weeks.

We'd be happy to share our positive experience with others as a reference.  Like I said, we couldn't be happier with Oreo.  She has become a full-fledged member of the family.

Thanks for checking on her.

Julie

This is Tobi. He lives with Gladys and her family in Chicago, IL.

Gladys wrote:

I guess I should start by telling you that before we got Tobi, I didn't like small dogs, I'm a big dog type of person.  But I have to tell you, he is WONDERFUL!  I have a son with autism, and I was a little afraid of how he would be with my son, he is great with him.  He has a great temperament, he got along well with my old Rottweiler that I had for 12 years, I recently had to put him down, and I have gotten another Rottweiler, and they are the best of friends.

As you know the reason we got him was because my niece Alyssa got Diamond from you, and we fell in love with her immediately.  We got Tobi for my daughter and they bonded right away.

Health wise we have not had any problems at all.  He is about 15 lbs now, and all the check ups at the vet have been great.  We couldn't have asked for a better dog.

I will be looking forward to getting another dog from you in the future.
Thank you,
Gladys

This is Tula. She lives with Carre and her family in Rosemount, MN.

Carre wrote:

We are very happy with our selection.  We named her Tula.  She has a great personality and is very smart.  She weighs about 15 pounds and is starting to show red highlights in her hair around her muzzle.  I would be more than happy to be a reference for you.  I hope you enjoy the pictures!  The first picture is from our Christmas card last year.  The second shows her love of snow!  The last one is of Tula about a week ago.

Thank you,
Carre

This is Kessler. He lives with Mike and Terri in Urbana, IA.

Terrie wrote:

Yes my husband Mike got a black poodle from you with a white streak down his throat as a Christmas Present for me.    I had to put my other apricot toy poodle down in 2001.   And I said I'd never have another one because I get to close to them.   But surprise I have another and I wouldn't trade him for anything.    He is now a year old.   I named him Kessler (yes my favorite drink) .   He is a good dog.   He loves water , taking a walk, and getting in the truck.    He is pretty well behaved and knows when I get the newspaper out he's in trouble and usually only takes twice to let him know he can't do that.

We have a yellow lab named Taz and them two are best friends.   Our back yard is fenced in so we can let the two of them play out doors all day and not worry to much about them.    We have a great sun porch on the back of the house where the fence is and Kessler sits on the chair and watches for the squirrels and rabbits to come to the bird feeders.   Then he has to run out and chase them.    He thinks he is the hunter of the family.   Anyway he is part of the family and even our little granddaughter and him play good together.
Thanks for him.
Sincerely,
Terrie

This is Raven. She lives with Stephanie and her family in Greene, RI.

Stephanie wrote:

Well, she finally made it.  She got stuck in Detroit because her plane had "mechanical difficulties".  She got in at 2:30 instead of noon.  She was in great shape though.  I walked her as soon as we picked her up so she could stretch her legs and then we had a 40 min drive home.  About 20 mins into the drive she was sound asleep.  She met our two dogs and she is now sound asleep with the two adults watching her.
Thank you very much.
We have decided to call her Raven.  She is settling in fantastic.  She has only had one accident in her crate and everything else she has asked to go out.  I have taken some new pictures today.  Hope you like them.
Sorry I have not been in touch with you with updates on Raven.  She is just wonderful.  I am having a lot of fun with her.  I have attached some new pictures.  Hope all is well with you.
